I love how that thought works with the ledger art on the Epic Day Designer Series Paper. 

Recently, I had a coffee bought for me by a stranger.  She told me she "had to do one nice thing everyday for someone else."  When I asked why, she said it was trying to teach her teenage daughter to not be so selfish and so they were doing it together and were sharing at the end of the day what they had done.

I LOVE THAT!!

So, I thought I should institute that in my own house since I have a 13 year old who is a little self focused as well.  Heck, I'm self focused!!  One day I perched a greeting card in my mailbox for our mail carrier.  It simply said, "thanks for all of your hard work."  I didn't hear anything back, but I hope it brightened her day.  We did this for a few days and it was nice, but I have forgotten and need to get back to it!

How awesome to brighten someone's day with a simple gesture, a kind word or anything that takes our focus off of ourselves.

Big Shot on Sale and the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Pad

This month, my Stamp Club members made this pretty luminary using the Fancy Favors XL Die for the Big Shot.  Just insert a tea-light candle and you have a beautiful accent for your holiday table.

Simple die cut your 6" x 12" card stock using the Fancy Favor Die and the Big Shot. 

After you have your die cut box, stamp it.  I used the Delicate Doilies stamp set.  Look like snowflakes to me!  For the small doily image, I used the Illuminate Stamp Pad from the Holiday Catalog.  Don't miss the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stamp Pad - it is a watermark pad, like VersaMark, but it has a shimmery finish!  So pretty!!

Petal Card K.I.S.S.

Welcome to Keep It Simple Saturday (K.I.S.S.).  Your place for that last minute, quick and easy card idea.

Today's project features the fun Petal Card Double Punch!  This punch creates that fun little tiny envelope.  The greeting comes from the Seasonal Sayings stamp set AND is one of the stamp images that you can purchase as a SINGLE STAMP!  The embossed hearts are created using the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit.

While I was playing with this Petal Card Double Punch, another idea came to mind.

Thought it would be fun to have a little spider crawling out of the envelope!  Now this card has a few more layers and the images are heat embossed - but it's still pretty simple.  Both cards have an overall dimension of 4" x 4".

NEW Framelits Dies and Video

The new Occasions Mini catalog contains many great new products.  One of my new favorites is our new Framelits.

The innovative, thin, wafer-like design of these dies lets you see where you’re placing the design before you cut! Layer dies inside each other to cut frames for stamp images. Cut single hearts or labels for accents or layering. You can use them with single sheets of card stock or Designer Series Paper. Hearts Collection coordinates with Take It to Heart Set (p. 14).  You can spend all day playing with them!

The Big Shot has many types of dies and embossing folders.

• Originals, Bigz, and Bigz XL dies. These steel ruled dies cut through virtually any material and multiple sheets of card stock and Designer Series paper.
• Sizzlets dies. These dies are small and detailed, often creating scored or perforated details. These dies cut through thin materials, and multiple sheets are not recommended.
