Here is fun and fussy banner card for you today!  It features the Hearts a Flutter Framelits and our Print Poetry Designer Series Paper!!  Gotta love the In Colors: Midnight Muse and Gumball Green!

 

Lots of fun details.  What the scoop?  From left to right:

• Midnight Muse banner (hand cut, wanted it a bit longer than the Framelit) with a banner cut layer of stamped Natural Cotton Ribbon over the top.  A Itty Bitty Shape flower punch on top with a small Pearl Jewel embellishment
• Small banner of Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon
• Rounded Die Cut Banner with a Small Heart Punch popped up on top with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon Banner
• Floral patterned Gumball Green die cut banner with a Itty Bitty Shapes flower punched out and a Pearl Jewel in the center.

 

And those greeting and splatter images....where did they come from?? 

 

They were the stamp set included in my first Paper Pumpkin project kit!!

 

All the goodies you see there came last month in a pre-cut project kit.  In 10 minutes I had four completed cards and envelopes with an acrylic block, stamp set and ink spot to use in the future - Love it!!  Can't wait to see what is in my Paper Pumpkin kit this month!!

My Creative Boys

Today I thought I would share two cards created by my boys while they "were bored" last night.

Easy Events Watercolor Wonder

You can't see it very well in this photo, but after watercoloring the flowers, I scribbled all over the watercolor paper with a Bashful Blue Watercolor Wonder crayon and then did a watercolor wash using an AquaPainter.

Stampin' Up! Summer Smooches Designer Fabric Tote Bag

Check out this fun Summer Smooches Designer Fabric Tote Bag that I finally completed!  My friend, Angie, got me started almost a year ago and I just needed to finish the flower embellishment!  Yes, I'm not a sewer, so I needed the help of a seamstress for sure.

 

I DID complete the fabric flower all by myself!  It begins with three layers of Scallop Circles die cut with the Big Shot and the Scallop Circle Die and then has three layers of die cut flowers from the Fun Flowers Die.  A Tempting Turquoise Designer Button finishes off the center. 

I love how the Big Shot works with fabric!  Makes me look like a pro!

How To Make A Designer Fabric Flower:

• Die cut the fabric shapes using the Big Shot
• Crumple up the die cut fabric pieces individually
• Spray them with fabric starch.  OK, I actually used hair spray because I was out of starch. 
• Allow them to dry.  You can speed up the drying process with our Heat Tool. 
• Un-crumple them, layer them and stitch them together!

Big Changes for My Digital Studio!!

 

 

Stampin' Up! has announced

BIG CHANGES for My Digital Studio!!

Alright, here it goes:

1. Name is changing from My Digital Studio to MDS
2. NEW LOWER PRICE! What has been known as MDS 2+ is now $19.95 (was $79.95) and will be called . . . yes, you guessed it, MDS. It’s the same great software and content at a fantastic new price.
3. Coming soon: all of you who have been holding onto the original My Digital Studio software will be able to upgrade for FREE. I’ll let you know as soon as it is available.

 

Other stuff you may want to know:

• Stampin' Up! will still offer a free 30-day trial version of the MDS software for anyone who had not previously tried the MDS 2 Trial.
• The original My Digital Studio software (not the product line) is going away, including support for it. The free upgrade will be available soon!  
• MDS 2 (the software that didn’t have much content) is going away.
• You can still get the software on a disc (item 130647) or as a download (item 130646). Just keep in mind the disc will say MDS 2+ on it because it will take us awhile to switch everything out.

Honeycomb Embossing Folder .... Is There a Punch for That?

The question I have been asked most this month is,

"Is there an hexagon punch that coordinates with the  

Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder? 

How do you recreate the look on this card?"

 

Answer:  No, Stampin' Up does not currently offer an hexagon punch. 

 

But, let me show you how you CAN get the look of inlaid hexagons!

 

Simply run your Designer Series Paper through the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Then take your Paper Snips and trim inside the embossed lines.  Adhere these little hexagons inside your Honeycomb textured card stock!

My Favorite Stampin' Up! Tool

Since today is Worship of Tools Day, I thought I would share with you my favorite Stampin' Up! tool - the Big Shot!!  Now, I don't actually worship this tool, but I use it all the time! 

From die cutting stamped images and shapes to adding texture and making boxes, the Big Shot makes you look like a pro!  I had a chance to sit with a client last week and show her all the things the Big Shot can do and she immediately fell in love.  She already knew she was going to purchase a Big Shot but was thrilled to see all she could create with it.

Here is a super cute and easy treat box created using the Mini Milk Carton Die and the Big Shot.  I love the box dies!  No need to trace and cut out a pattern!
