Sweet Pressed Christmas Cookies

This last Saturday I hosted a Christmas Brunch for my local downline members.  We always have so much fun enjoying yummy food, a present exchange and a cookie swap.

This year I made these yummy - White Chocolate Cherry Shortbread Cookies.  Now the recipe calls for you to roll the dough into balls and then press with a glass.  However, I chose to press them with Stampin' Up!'s Sweet Pressed Cookie Snowflake Stamp. It was fun to add a little snowflake to each cookie!

Welcome to your Keep It Simple Saturday (K.I.S.S.).  Today I thought I would share some clean and simple cards created by Stampin' Up!'s CEO, Shelli Gardner.

Shelli used the Affection Collection stamp set for these single layer cards.  A bit of Dazzling Details was added to portions of the images for some sparkle!  Shelli shared these cards with us last Saturday at the Stampin' Up! Regional Event in Tacoma, WA.

Stampin' Up! Regional Tacoma

Happy Saturday to you!  Today I am spending the day, with 8 of my team members, at the Stampin' Up! Regional Training Event in Tacoma, WA.

 

These are the gifts that I made for all of the gals.  They are altered notepads with coordinating pens.  Plus a little chocolate and a drink mix for fun!

I inked our NEW 7/8" Cotton Ribbon to coordinate with the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper.

Stampin' Up! Disney World Trip Day 4

Whew!  In all the excitement of the Retiring Products and NEW Stampin' Up! Catalog, I haven't shared the second half of our fabulous Stampin' Up! Disney World Incentive Trip!  On Day 4 of our vacation, we headed to Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Now, in addition to my boys' favorite roller coater, Expedition Everest, we saw many amazing animals -

 

All I could think of was, "Scurry, Sniff, Flinch!!"  You have to have watched Lion King 1 1/2 to get this.  ;o)

 

I would not want to make this guy mad!

There were many more animals that I photographed but, these are the best shots.

We headed back to our hotel and out to dinner.

Waiting for our table to be ready gave my husband, Bret, and I a photo opportunity!

After dinner, was the event we (the demonstrators) had been waiting for - Share, Swaps and Sweets Night!

This was an evening for demonstrators to share creative ideas, participate in a card swap and enjoy yummy sweets.  Stampin' Up! provided a Churro Bar along with Hot Cocoa and all the fun fixins'.

Summer Smooches Just For You!

Isn't this fabulous?  I think I know which demonstrator to give credit to, for this fabulous project share, but I'm not 100%! 

Though I loved seeing all the samples and creative ideas, the highlight of the evening was RECEIVING THE NEW 2012-2013 CATALOG!!

 

Stampin' Up! CEO and Co-Founder, Shelli Gardner, brought our table the new catalog.  She was just as excited to share it with us as we were to be receiving it!!

 

My friend, Becky and I with the new catty!!  I've never viewed a new Stampin' Up! catalog together with a few hundred other Stampin' Up! demonstrators - what fun!  But, it was difficult to stay focused as we all jumped to different sections of the catalog to look for those products that inspire us most!

Thanks for sharing with me another amazing day at Disney World.

Stampin' Up! Disney World Trip - Day 3

Day 3 of our Stampin' Up! Disney World Trip was a quiet one.  I think the jet lag, lack of sleep and heat got to us.  But, I still have some fun photos to share!

These were our fun centerpieces that decorated our breakfast tables in the morning.  What a fun and easy decoration for a birthday party!

 

We spent our morning in Epcot and visited the butterfly house.

 

Beautiful!

 

One too many times on the Mission Space ride sent us back to our room for naps.  Bleh!  After that, we headed to the Stampin' Up! Hospitality Room to spin the wheel.  Here are some of the fabulous swaps on display.

We finished our day by heading back to Epcot and watching the amazing firework show.

I have to say that this was the best firework show that I have seen.  Lots and lots of them all going off at the same time.  I love fireworks!

Stampin' Up! Disney World Trip - Day 2

The second day of our Stampin' Up! Disney World Trip started at the Magic Kingdom!

Stampin' Up! got us in early to see a private showing of the Monster, Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Show.  After that, we had the run of Main Street until the rest of the park opened.

Got to love getting a castle shot with nobody else in the picture!!

Disney always has the most beautiful gardens!

 

Yes, my husband and I are a little competitive.

We spent the afternoon at Blizzard Beach water park.  Nothing like a 12 story water slide to send me into a panic.  I mean a real panic!  But, I did it!!

 

Of course, we had to finish our day by stopping by the Stampin' Up! Hospitality Room.  Hunter and Wyatt were needing more candy.

Don't forget our daily Prize Wheel spin!  Stampin' Up! Board Member and her husband watching me get way too serious about this.  But, I won TWO prizes!  New Product!!  Woot!

Stampin' Up! Disney World Trip - Day 1

Our family decided to start our Stampin' Up! Disney World Trip one day early.  So, on Day 1, we went to Disney's Hollywood Studios - 

Our first character sighting, outside the gates, were Daisy Duck and Minnie Mouse. 

 

Mama duck even decided to bring her kids to Hollywood Studios too!

 

First day, first park - heading to our first ride - Hollywood Tower of Terror!

After a full day, we headed back to the hotel.  I wanted to check in at the Stampin' Up! Hospitality Room. 

 

I knew there would be some beautiful samples like this one!  My boys were less than thrilled when I told them they had to go with me. 

 

But, when Hunter and Wyatt discovered that the room with filled with apothecary jars of candy.  They were excited to stop in each day!

 

They boys each received waterproof Stampin' Up! bags with Autograph Swatchbooks.  For each character autograph they received, they got a prize.  Each day I got to spin the Prize Wheel, Day 1 - I won a journal.  Both the swatchbook and journal were created with My Digital Studio.

The lollipops are wrapped with our ribbon and have the Enchantment tag.  These were handed out by the corporate staff along the Boardwalk that evening to all who passed by.

 

After the boys got their fill of candy, it was off to the pool.  Here is Hunter on the waterslide.

Then back to the room where our first Pillow Gift was waiting.  Isn't that the cutest bag?!  And what was inside??

 

Disney snacks!  Yes, my boys were happy.

Day 1 in Disney World was amazing!  And there is lots more to come!

Last week my family went to Disney World on the Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip that you helped me to earn.  Thank you very much for being such wonderful and loyal clients! 

 

We truly had a wonderful week as a family and I got to see and meet lots of wonderful Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.  Plus, Stampin' Up! gave us lots of new products!!  Woot!

Icy Inkers Christmas Party

This last Saturday was the Icy Inkers (my downline group) Christmas Party/Brunch.  I am sad to say that in all of the busyness, I didn't get a formal group shot!  :o(  Here is the majority of the group.

Each year we do a cookie exchange!  The Inkers are loading up their plates with all the yummy cookies.

There were so many different yummies: Sugar cookies, chocolate cookies, bar cookies, haystacks, pecan cups and some yummy chocolate dipped peanut butter sandwich cookies!

I don't have a large group shot but I have small groups:

Beth, Kendra and Niki.  Kendra was opening her gift for the gift exchange.  We do an exchange with the "white elephant" format.  One particular Snowman ornament kept getting stolen until it could be taken no more!

It was a wonderful brunch with lots of amazing food.  My husband said that he hasn't seen that much food at our church's potlucks!  Yes, we paper-crafters know how to celebrate!

Not every member of my downline team was able to make it, but those who did enjoyed themselves (I think).  I am blessed by each and every member of my group.  They are all so different and gifted in so many ways.

Halloween Family Fun

As promised, here is my family and I dressed up last night for Halloween.  Not sure what you would term us:  Redneck tourists, Coleman hillbillies or a family with bad teeth and mismatched clothes...but we had fun.  Who knew that a $3 pair of "Bubba Teeth" could make you laugh so hard your stomach hurt (and your teeth fell out)!

Open House Photos

Today I wanted to share with you the other photos from my New Catalog Open House. 

 

Super yummy cupcakes made by my friend Denise (thanks Denise).  She found a fun little garden themed cupcake kit.  You could recreate these fun pokes using Stampin' Up! punches for sure!

New Catalog Open House is my favorite event each year and it seems to be the favorite of my clients.  Just a relaxing day to "oooh and aaah" over all the new product, create with friends, get questions answered and just have fun.  Thank you to everyone who came out last Saturday.

How To Celebrate National Craft Month

March is National Craft Month and I thought I would share some ways that I've heard of and thought of to celebrate it!

• Craft For A Cause - Organize a group of crafters to make crafts for a non-profit group:  Cards For Troops or a local hospital, Quilts for Retirement Homes, blankets for moms in need.
• Volunteer to Teach Your Craft - Contact a local library, retirement home or school and volunteer to teach a craft class.
• Craft With Friends - How many of us love our craft but we never get time to actually do it.  Schedule a time with friends to craft!!  Coordinate food and supplies and make a date to get together and craft!!
• Learn A New Technique - Is there a new craft or technique within your craft that you have been wanting to learn?  Grab a friend, who will keep you accountable, and learn it together.  Whether you learn it on your own or attend a class - learn something new!
• Share Your Creations - Do you make cards and never send them?  Love to quilt but have more than you need?  Give away a finished project to someone.  Send that loved one a card to brighten their day.  Give away a quilt to a friend.
• Finish That Project - Is there a craft project that has been "in the works" for a long time?  Set some time aside this month to finish it!  Gasp!  Yes, finish it.  You will be celebrating for sure.

These are just a few ideas.  I know that you can come up with more.
