How to Create An Electric Tealight Cupcake

Want a cute birthday idea - create a cupcake from an electric tealight!  My Divas created these projects last quarter and I want to show you how to make your own!

How To Crete An Electric Tealight Cupake:

1. Adhere a strip of Designer Series Paper around tealight base.  My piece measures 3/4" x 5 1/2" but tealight sizes may vary.
2. Punch two 1 3/4" Scallop Circles of Whisper White card stock.
3. Fold one of the Scallop Circles into quarters and snip of the tip in the center.

4. Lay this template on top of your second Whisper White Scallop Circle Punch and mark the center.

 

5.  Using an hobby blade and protective mat, cut 4 lines through center of Scallop Circle Punch.

 

6.  Embellish as desired and slide over the top of your tealight "flame".  Adhere using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Fold edges down over the side.

 

This cupcake was coated with 2 Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter.  Then embellished with punched shaped from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and Pearl Jewels.

These Tealight Cupcakes are fun and easy to create.  They make a great addition to any birthday gift or birthday party!  Make one yourself today!

A Cupcake K.I.S.S.

Want a fun and quick way to add more fun to your cupcakes?  Try any of Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Paper and our Pennant Builder Punch!  These pokes were created by my son, Wyatt, to put atop the cupcakes, baked by my son Hunter.  They were helping me prep for my New Catalog Open House!

 

We used the Patio Party Designer Series Paper and they are attached to toothpicks with our Mini Glue Dots.  One more Mini Glue Dots holds the pennant tips together.

Stampin' Up! has a Designer Series Paper to go with any occasions! 

You can have a little of all of them with my Designer Series Paper Share!

K.I.S.S. - Pink Birthday Balloon

Welcome back to your Keep It Simple Saturday (K.I.S.S.)!  What makes creating a greeting card easy and simple?  Grab a sketch:

 

Clean and Simple Stamping's Fall To Layout 179

And a color cobmo:  Splitcoast's CC 363 - Basic Gray, Pretty In Pink and Pink Pirouette

And get to stamping!

 

The result is a very simple birthday card! 

 

The balloon was stamped a second time on Pretty In Pink card stock, cut out and mounted using Stampin' Dimensionals.  Then I added a little Crystal Effects for a bit of shine!

The triple greeting alignment was help by using our Stamp-a-ma-jig!  Love that stamp positioner!!

Birthday Wishes K.I.S.S.

Happy Keep It Simple Saturday to you! 

Today's project may look detailed but it goes together pretty quickly.

Just a Wisteria Wonder Paper Doily die-cut with a Fresh Vintage flower accenting the center.  The stamped image is punched using the 1 3/4" Circle and layered on a 2 1/2" Scallop Circle punch of Elegant Eggplant.

 

A few Rhinestone Jewels set off the flower image and the Birthday Wishes greeting.

Love that Paper Doily die-cut!!  It quickly makes your card look like a work of art!

Tie One On This CAS-ual Friday

 

OK, now it's not what you are thinking!!  But, something much better!  Today's project features the Fresh Vintage stamp set and Everyday Enchantment Paper, Ribbons and Brads and combines two different challenges!!!  Whew!

 

The first challenge is the card layout which comes from the Clean & Simple Stamping Blog Fall To Layout 178:

 

And the second challenge is Tie One On (Cards with Ribbon) CFC40  over at the CAS-ual Friday blog. 

 

You can see the beautiful 1/8" Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral Organdy Ribbon on either side of the focal piece.

The medallion images are punched out using the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and their edges are sponged using Soft Suede Classic Ink and Stamping Sponges.  The edges of the Very Vanilla focal panel are also sponged to add to the distressed look of the card and coordinate with the distressed edges of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper.

What is your favorite thing about Stampin' Up! products?  Quality, price, style???  For me, I have to say COORDINATION!!  I love how Stampin' Up! colors coordinate: ink, card stock, markers, ribbons, Designer Series Paper, brads, etc....  I love how our products coordinate: Punches that coordinate with stamp images, stamp images that match Designer Series Paper and BIG SHOT DIES THAT COORDINATE WITH STAMP IMAGES! 

I love the new Apothecary Art stamp set and the coordinating Labels Framelits Dies!  When you put together these two products - your finished product will look so professional and beautiful. 

Stampin' Up! just makes it so easy to create great projects when half of the work of product coordination is done for us!  Woot!

One Lucky Girl!

This past weekend, I celebrated a birthday.  Though, it was not a huge event, I was reminded how blessed I am.

These are three of my biggest blessings!  My husband, Bret, and my boys Hunter (L) and Wyatt (R).  These guys, along with a few of my friends, coordinated a small surprise dinner for my birthday!  Thank you!!

Yes, they even decorated a birthday cake for me!  Love the "4?"!!  For the record, I turned 42!

And my crafty boys stamped a birthday card as well.

Yes, they know I love penguins, so they grabbed the Polar Party stamp set and one of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors, Melon Mambo, and created this card.  Cute huh!

Yes, I am one lucky, and very blessed, girl.  Ok, at my age.....woman.  Ugh!

I know I sure do and my friend, Cari Cantrell (the Sweet Tooth), has one too!  Today is Cari's birthday and she posted this awesome photo on her blog -

Love the colors, love the clean look, LOVE THE CAKE AND SPRINKLES!!

It inspired me to create this card -

 

The colors are Pool Party, Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White.  The cupcake image, from Crazy For Cupcakes, is stamped in Jet Black StazOn Ink and watercolored using Blender Pens and Classic Ink Pads.

 

A bit of Crystal Effects was added over the top of each sprinkle to give a bit of texture and shine.
