Today I thought I would share with you a project stamped with my oldest current Stampin' Up! stamp set - LOVELY AS A TREE
Though this stamp set has been around a long time - it is still one of my favorites! Just great lines and beautiful nature images.
Any guess as to what year the Lovely As A Tree set was unveiled?? Well, the copyright date on my set says 2001! Yep, this classic is 10 years old!
I played along with a challenge over at Splitcoast - Sentiment Underneath (TLC326)
See, the sentiment is underneath the sliding panel. Fun! Your panel can be attached with a brad or an eyelet. Just as long and the focal panel can slide/swing/swivel out of the way to reveal your sentiment!
Now, with my card, the sliding panel is the only moving part to this card - the rest of the card does not open. That means I will have to be VERY brief in what I write. ;o) You can choose to have a larger sliding element or have the card open traditionally in addition to the hidden sentiment. Then you can be a little more "wordy" with your written greeting.
As much as I love this stamp set, there is a possibility that I may have to say good bye to it soon with the retiring stamp set list being announced next week. Now, don't go thinking that I have any idea of which stamp sets are retiring - I don't. Do you know?

Oh my goodness - aren't these Pyrex bowls just too bright and fun?!! The moment I saw them as this week's Tuesday Trigger over at the Moxie Fab Blog, I knew I had to create something.
Not only am I lovin' these colors these days but I also have a clean and simple style and my home is decorated with a vintage style. These bowls just spoke to me this week - *wink*.
Here is what I came up with. I duplicated the bird graphic using the Birds and Bloms Sizzlits dies and the flower was created with our new Blossom Boquet Triple Layer Punch. Got to love those tiny petal punch outs!!
I thought punching the corners of the Whisper White card stock with our Ticket Corner Punch resembled the handles of the Pyrex bowls. The textured Peach Parfait card stock strips reminded me of the stack of bowls.
What do you think? Do you "get" my interpretation? Hope so. Play along if you are feeling the Pyrex Effect.

Good Morning to you! As I am just back from a vacation in Cabo, Mexico, I thought I would share a few pictures with you.
My husband and I traveled to attend the wedding of my niece, Shannon to her husband Pablo.
Here is the beautiful couple!

It was a fun and beautiful wedding. Simple, no stress. Bret and I had a great visit with my family too!
Oh, look what I found in Cabo San Lucas
An Arts & Crafts Market at the marina! It's not the type of store you would think of in the U.S. It was were local artisans sold their wares. But I had to take a photo for fun!
It was a wonderful trip but I am glad to be back home with my boys. Lots of exciting things happening in the Stampin' Up! world - make sure to stay tuned!!

Hola!
This bright and fun wedding card is for my niece Shannon and her new husband Pablo. I am currently in Cabo, Mexico attending their destination wedding on the beach! Woot! *Pictures to come*
To create the multi-colored flower stamped images, I used the Rock and Roll Technique:
On these flowers I stamped the image twice before inking up again to create a bit of depth.
The little flower is one of Stampin' Up!'s Paper Daisies, the smallest size, that I water-colored using Aqua Painters and Classic Ink. A half pearl sets off the center.
I created their wedding card after their wedding invitation: gate fold, colors and a ribbon tie closure.
The Rock and Roll Technique is a fun and easy one to create stunning projects.

Yes, with just the slide of the lever, you have three different punches in one punch! Just grab some coordinating colors of card stock and away you go! Layer up your flower punches and embellish flower centers with brads, buttons, eyelets or ribbon. Simple huh!!
This page captures a moment with my sisters last summer when we were being silly as always - that's me on the left. The page title is "Laughter" and the images comes from the Word Play stamp set. Yes, my family and I laugh a lot when we are together!
The cool thing about the timing on this page is that today I am on my way to spend 5 days with my sisters, brother and their families in Cabo, Mexico. My niece is having a destination wedding and my hubby and me are going. Yes, just Bret and me! Date vacation!

From first glance, this looks like your basic square card (4 1/4" x 4 1/4"). But the fun comes in how it opens.
That's just twisted! Yes, it's a twisted easel card. I have posted standard easel cards in the past and you can view them in THIS POST and THIS POST. But this is a fun new "twist" (pun intended!) on that concept!! And this isn't my original idea.
Twisted Easel Card Instructions:
Just make sure that you have a dimensional element on the inside of your card to "catch" the corner so your twisted easel card stay up - brads, buttons or a card stock element adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. Fun huh? I hope you have fun making your own.

One of the most popular posts I have is the Origami Shirt Card and Tutorial that I posted last June. So, I thought it was worth creating a new card using the same tutorial!
This shirt concept can be adjusted to fit just about any man in your life - add a tie, change the Designer Series Paper, cut a small collar. For this card, I used the polka dot pattern from the Woodland Walk Designer Series Paper for the shirt and Neutrals Brads for the accent.

Today, May 10th, is Clean Up Your Room Day! Now, I'm sure first thoughts go straight to the kids' rooms - I know mine did. But I have to say that getting them their own laundry hamper was the best thing ever!
But I'm thinking about our craft spaces. What does yours look like? Currently, mine is pretty good - but give it one good creative session and it will be destroyed. But I really love the great storage products that Stampin' Up! offers to help me to keep my stamp room clean and organized.
